Kajal Sonkar is an advocate practising before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, Delhi District Courts and Tribunals. Ms. Sonkar has served as defence counsel in complex criminal matters, including cybercrime and white-collar offences such as money laundering, as well as sensitive workplace disputes under the POSH Act. She also advises on family and matrimonial matters, representing both domestic and NRI clients, with a discreet and rights-based approach that prioritizes the protection of liberty, reputation, and procedural fairness.
Ms. Sonkar regularly advises on matters of commercial law, contract enforcement, shareholder disputes, insolvency proceedings, and regulatory compliance, with particular expertise in NCLT litigation and business restructuring. She has represented clients in high-stakes class action suits in consumer forums and complex cartelization and bid-rigging cases before the CCI, demonstrating a capacity to navigate multifaceted legal and commercial challenges.
Her practice also extends to trademark registration, copyright protection, patent strategy, and digital enforcement, supporting creators and entrepreneurs in safeguarding innovations. Her research and commentary focus on the intersection of AI regulation, technology law, and data governance, reflecting a sustained engagement with emerging legal frameworks in fast-evolving sectors.
